Why ABB Lighting Inverters?
ABB provides technology solutions for the emergency lighting and inverter markets. In addition, the ABB Group proudly operates the Emergi-Lite® Global Emergency Lighting Research & Innovation Center in Canada, a pioneering technology leader. ABB provides a wide range of inverter technologies for the UL 924 emergency lighting inverter markets. Central Lighting Inverter Systems sizes from 400 watts – 50,000 watts [KH1] with different monitoring and connectivity options, allow[KH2] ing ABB to meet the wide range of needs in today’s industrial and commercial lighting inverter market. Today, we are highlighting the ABB Emerg-Power Systems Model 3FTC Lighting Inverter System but be sure to check our blog to see more product updates that ABB has to offer.
Product Details: Emerg-Power 3FTC Three Phase Lighting Inverter Systems
The Emerg-Power Fast Transfer Lighting Inverter[KH3] (FTS) for commercial and industrial applications provides an online ‘quick-transfer’ time to support a wide variety of applications. The 50ms transfer time may support higher demand requirement technologies such as LED lighting and HID lighting applications. FTC still provides continuous load support for the traditional requirements of fluorescent and incandescent lights, and all UL 924 lighting inverter applications[KH4] . The ‘fast transfer’ of sub 50ms provides for seamless operation of highly sensitive equipment.
ABB Model 3FTC three-phase inverters also provide for larger capacity systems to support commercial buildings, apartments, and high-rises, with inverter capacity sizes ranging from 4.8kVA to 50kVA. Whether you need to manage inverters of varying sizes within a multitude of buildings in a complex, or you need to manage one large system to distribute power to many building locations, the 3FTC system from ABB can cover them all. In addition to managing a variety of building scenarios, the 3FTC system from ABB will make connectivity and software management of alarms, maintenance, and notifications easy.
Usually considered a ‘higher-end’ technology reserved for the data center, Fast Transfer type systems using IGBT/PWM technology provides the best power conversion and reliability for important UL 924 inverter applications. This ABB FTC3 product can provide sophisticated voltage regulation and pure sinusoidal output waveform with very low distortion (less than 3% for linear loads). The system may also incur overloads of up to 150% for 12 cycles.
