Myers Emergency Lighting Inverters

Emergency lighting inverters provide backup power for lights, signs, alarms, and other systems. Businesses can keep the lights on during any emergency or natural disaster such as fire, flood, storms, accidental power failures, and other mishaps. Many industries rely on Myers lighting inverters from Lighting Inverter Supply to provide the necessary power. Myers provides single-phase inverters, three-phase inverters, advanced seismic, and outdoor solutions for a range of industries

Does Your Myers Lighting Inverter Need to be Replaced?

Scheduled maintenance and repair that adheres to NFPA 70 standards ensures that your Myers lighting inverters will last for many years. In many circumstances, the lighting inverter's battery will only need to be replaced to bring it back to full operation. The replacement batteries should be the same number and type as the previous batteries. Also, the new batteries should have the same ampere-hour and voltage as the original ones.

In some instances, the Myers lighting inverters should be replaced. If you have added additional emergency lighting, signage, or other devices to the existing system, the existing lighting inverter may not provide enough emergency backup power for the required 90 minutes or more. You will have to determine the new total power load of all devices connected and match these new load requirements to the right lighting inverter size.

Central Lighting Inverter as Backup Power

Central lighting inverters provide a range of different backup power solutions based on your devices. Centralized units provide backup power to all emergency lighting systems throughout the building. These systems come as single-phase power that provides energy to simple devices, such as appliances, to three-phase power for more intensive power-hungry devices. The central lighting inverter operates automatically when the power goes out.

Benefits of Myers Lighting Inverters

Myers lighting inverters have a wide market selection of inverters to accommodate different industries. They come in a wide selection of sizes and are compatible with all lighting systems including LEDs and HIDs. With your emergency lighting inverters in a centralized location, maintenance and repair services are streamlined as workers only have to work on one system instead of checking and changing the batteries for every emergency lighting device.

Electrical supplies for homes and businesses commonly use single-phase alternating current (AC). This alternating current works with most appliances, simple office equipment, lighting, and other devices. Yet for large companies with complex equipment and in many other countries, equipment relies on three-phase alternating current. There are some key differences, advantages, and disadvantages when comparing single-phase vs three-phase power. Understanding these differences will allow you to select the right one for your company.

A lighting inverter system is made up of it’s power conditioning component, inverter components, charging, and the backup runtime component which are batteries. The UL 924 compliance code requires that 90 minutes of battery minimum are provided to all exit sign routes. This 90 minute runtime can only pass it’s minimum test by having well charged, healthy batteries.
